National convention was held october 26th-29 the ames ffa chapter sent 6 members to the convention. While there members attended sessions, participated in the national day of service, met members from around the country, toured area agriculture businesses, and attended a rodeo. 

In April of 2022, the ames high ffa chapter attended state convention held in ames iowa. The chapter had 4 members compete in ag issues, hunter gorman, ada nelson, anna nguyen, and Hailey sibble, the ag issues team received a silver rating and got 6th place.  While at state convention members attended sessions, competed, and had lots of fun.

Legislative symposium was held on janurary 31st 9 of our members attended the FFA legeslative symposium in Des Moines. While the chaptger was there they listened to several speakers, talked to local legislators, had a chapter lunch, and ended the day with a tour of The World Food Prize where they met former Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Ambassador Kenneth Quinn.

Greenhand fire up was held on september 28th at ellsworth community college in iowa falls. Ames ffa sent 9 new members to greenhand fire up, while there members participated in leadership activities, learned more about ffa, and connected with other members from the north central district.
